artist in residence
The artist in residency programme gives artists and makers the opportunity to use our studios and equipment to carry out their own practice for a minimum period of 2 weeks. In return, we ask for artists to deliver a workshop and a talk to our full time students.
Our impressive art and design studios and facilities are unrivaled in the local area. Our studios include a state-of-the-art 3D printer, laser cutter, metal workshop, glass kilns, enameling ovens, plaster room, casting workshop, vacuum formers, pottery wheels and kilns, as well as general studio space. We also have a life drawing studio, a photography studio and dark room. The dedicated fashion and textiles area has knitting machines, looms, pattern-cutting tables and sewing machines, and the print room houses heat presses, silk screen printing and dyeing facilities alongside chemical etching, collagraphy and other fine art printing opportunities. |
