The UAL Level 2 Award in Drawing has been designed to provide students with an exciting and challenging experience. You will be introduced to a range of drawing styles and techniques with the opportunity to develop your creativity and drawing skills. This is an ideal course for someone who has completed an evening class in drawing or has some previous experience and would now like to build on this and achieve a qualification.
The course will allow you to build on prior experience and encourage you to develop critical thinking and a new and experimental approach to your use of materials whilst also teaching you theoretical aspects of drawing. You will have access to our drawing studio and experienced lecturers and technicians who will support you throughout this qualification. The course consists of 2 units; Unit 1: Drawing Materials and Methods: This unit is designed to provide a coherent body of knowledge which will enable the student to select and use appropriate drawing materials. Including an introduction to drawing textures, observational drawing, how to select the best materials for your intention and exploring the potential of drawing in unconventional ways. Unit 2: Drawing and Measurement : This unit is designed to provide a coherent body of knowledge which will enable the student to translate 3D subjects into 2D linear drawings through the selection and use of appropriate systems of measurement. |
