ArtStudiosBCoT is thrilled to run a programme of Art & Design Workshops for WI groups. These 2-hour workshops cost £30 per person (or book 2 sessions for the same day to receive a £10 discount per person!)

Ceramic decals - Create designs for plain crockery using ceramic decals. Create a matched set of china or one-off original pieces.
Heat press - Using a selection of dye-infused papers, design your own hand-printed scarf by transferring your colourful patterns and textures onto the fabric using a heat press!
Screen-Printing - Using our specialist printing facilities, explore the art of screen-printing and create a bespoke printed tote bag!
Weaving - Weave your own unique wall hanging or a set of coasters on a table loom, using the wide selection of colourful and textured yarns we have available
Glass fusing - Create glass ornaments or jewellery in our glass kiln, using a variety of coloured glass-making materials.
Drawing class - Develop your skills in drawing, using our specialist drawing studio. Work from still life to produce a series of drawings exploring shape, form and texture.
Painting Class - Develop your own style with watercolour and water-based media in this beginners painting class. Explore a range of tools and unusual materials to create exciting textures and effects. You will leave this workshop with a selection of stunning artwork!
Block printing - Learn how to carve your own lino block, and print a variety of designs and patterns to create a series of fine art prints or a set of stationery.
Embroidery - Produce a variety of embroidery samples to be turned into a wall hanging or cushion cover.
Machine Knitting - Explore a variety of techniques and leave with a sampler that can be sewn into a cushion cover
Indigo dyeing - Delve into the exciting world of indigo dyeing and dye a range of fabrics and yarns using this ancient technique!
Paper Marbling - Get creative and learn how to create your own marbled patterns by using the traditional techniques which can then be turned into unique stationary!
Needle Felting - You will be guided step-by-step through the basic techniques of this fun and inspiring technique to create your own unique felted brooch using a beautiful array of coloured wool.
Collage - Create a series of stunning paper collages using a variety of relief printing, mark-making and “painting with collage” techniques. Explore colour and composition to create a finished larger collage piece or a collection of smaller works (suitable as notecard designs).
Pottery - Learn about hand-built pottery techniques and printing textures onto clay while creating and decorating a pair of tea light holder. Your handcrafted ceramic tea light holders will then be glazed and fired and will be ready to collect within a month.
Jewellery - Using a metal rolling mill to flatten pennies and then transfer patterns and textures such as lace, create a gorgeous pair of copper-coloured drop earrings!
Mosaics - Using traditional mosaic techniques, design a mirror or picture frame inlaid with beautiful objects such as marbles, glass and ceramic shards.
